- Top 10 Singaporeans Will Then Proceed Qualify To Compete On 6th May, For The International Competition.

- Singaporeans competing in International Strength do not require to qualify.

- Top 10 Singaporeans From The National Competition Will Qualify To Enter BiaAthletics Calisthenics Championships - Internationals On 18th August 2019.

 

--- RULES OF COMPETITION ( BiaAthletics National Calisthenics Championship ) ---

1. In the National Competition 2019, each Participant is given 3 minutes to show his best performance.

2. The maximum performance time given for one Participant in each round is three (3) minutes.

3. During performance, participants are required to wear the event shirt provided during registration. Each Participant is allowed to use gloves, additional weights, as well as other elements, contributing to splendor of the athlete’s performance and making it more attractive.

4. In every round each Participant is allowed to use the help of another Participant in the performance of one (1) element, but during the remaining performance time the Participant must be alone.

5. It is forbidden to perform or use insulting or offensive actions, gestures, and attributes towards other participants, judges, or viewers.

6. Any offenses concerning national or racial hatred are categorically forbidden.

7. Shoes & event shirts are required to be worn at all times during the performance.

8.  The duration of the 1v1 Battles for the National Championships would be 3 Minutes instead of 4 Minutes ( Alternating 30 - 45s. 2 Rounds for each participant )

 

 

Scoring System

Each judge will assess the performance of each Participant by awarding him with a mark of “0” to “5” points.

1. Static Elements.

Static elements are holds (not less than 3 seconds) and slow-motion power and strength moves, e.g. planche, human flag, front lever, back lever, slow muscle-up, etc.

2. Dynamic Elements. This category is divided in two sub categories. (1) Dynamic strength and (2) dynamic acrobatics. 

Dynamic strength elements are muscle-ups, one arm pull-ups, handstand push-ups, etc.

Dynamic acrobatic elements are all spins, flips and other elements where momentum is mainly used.

3. Move Combinations/Combos.

Move combination is the flow of the Participant making transition from one element to another element, without stepping off the construction or stopping the routine on the floor. Move combinations’ judge must not evaluate any individual static or dynamic move and its quality.

RULES OF THE COMPETITION (BiaAthletics Calisthenics Championship - International) 

 

-   Freestyle   -

1. In the International Competition 2019, each Participant is given 3 minutes to show his best performance.

8.  After the first round with all participants having performed is complete. The top 10 participants with the highest scores will move on into the finals. 

9. Top 10 finalist will face-off in a 1v1 battle based on their placings (1st to 10th).

10. 1v1 Battles will be at 4 minutes a battle with finalists alternating at 30-40 seconds intervals. (Average of 3 short performances per athlete )

---   Strength Endurance    --- 

A New format this year.
We will be adding an additional bonus round with a 1RM for the top 10 finalists.


AMRAP
- There will only be 1 attempt for the AMRAP Segment.

- Each participant will perform the following exercises for as many reps as possible:
     - Muscle-Ups : (Bodyweight)
     - Pull-Ups       : (Weighted with +20Kgs)
     - Dips              : (Weighted with +20Kgs)

- Reps will be converted into points.
     - Muscle-Ups : 2 Points per rep.
     - Pull-Ups       : 1 Point per rep.
     - Dips              : 1 Point per rep.

1RM

- Top 10 strength finalists will go into a bonus round where they'll perform a 1RM for Dips & Pullups.

- Points awarded will be based on every 5kgs or 10kgs added to the base of 20kgs. ( 5kgs = +1 Point / 10kgs = +2 Points )
          - For Example
          - 1 Rep with 30kgs = 2 Points
          - 1 Rep with 35kgs = 3 Points
          - 1 Rep with 40kgs = 4 Points

- Participants will be given 2 attempts per 1RM attempt.

- Participants will be allowed to attempt both Dips & Pullups for their 1RM.


RULES & REP FORM

AMRAP RULES
- Participants are given 45-60 seconds rest before moving on to the next exercise.
- Participants are required to start performing the next exercise before the 60s mark.
- Participants that do not start the next exercise by the 60 second mark will be awarded 0 for that next segment/exercise.

Muscle ups
- Within box zone
- No excessive kipping
- No excessive swinging
- Legs must be straight at all times
- Feet must be together
- Arms must be fully locked at the top & bottom
- No one arm/chicken wing muscle ups
- No more than 3 seconds rest at any point in time
Participants still resting at the 3rd second will be stopped & awarded points for the number of reps done till then for that segment.

Dips
- 90 degree elbow position at the bottom phase of dip
- No kipping
- No swinging
- Arms must be fully locked out at the top
- Legs must be straight
- Feet must be together
- Deadstop repetitions on cue by judge
- 2 second pause at the top of each rep
Participants still resting at the 3rd second will be stopped & awarded points for the number of reps done till then for that segment.

Pull ups
- No kipping
- No swinging
- Chin must clear the bar
- Arms must be fully locked out at the bottom
- Legs must be straight
- Feet must be together
- Deadstop repetitions on cue by judge
- 2 second pause at the bottom of each rep
- Participants still resting at the 3rd second will be stopped & awarded points for the number of reps done till then for that segment.


1RM RULES
- Participants are given 60-90 seconds rest before moving on to the next exercise.
- Participants are required to start performing the next exercise before the 90s mark.
- Participants that do not start the next exercise by the 90 second mark will be awarded 0 for that next segment/exercise.
- Participants are given 2 attempts to perform their 1RM for Dips & Pullups. 
- Participants are allowed to increase/decrease the weight used for each attempt.
- The heaviest successful rep done will be counted towards their overall score.

Dips
- 90 degree elbow position at the bottom phase of dip
- No kipping
- No swinging
- Arms must be fully locked out at the top
- Legs must be straight
- Feet must be together
- Deadstop 1RM on cue by judge
- 3 second support position pause on top before attempting the rep

Pull ups
- No kipping
- No swinging
- Chin must clear the bar
- Arms must be fully locked out at the bottom
- Legs must be straight
- Feet must be together
- Deadstop 1RM on cue by judge
- 3 second hang pause at the bottom before attempting the rep


- Participants with the highest total points from both the AMRAP + 1RM Bonus round will win.

 

Prizes 
1st Place  - $250SGD + Trophy + Medal

2nd Place - $150SGD + Trophy + Medal

3rd Place  - $100SGD + Trophy + Medal
